LEMLI, Beáta
Sustainability coordinator at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pécs, senior lecturer at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy, and member of the Green Chemistry Research Group at the János Szentágothai Research Centre. As a chemistry teacher and researcher, she pays special attention to environmental education and promoting critical and environmentally responsible thinking. As a university lecturer, she teaches courses on the environmental impact of pharmaceutical residues, with a particular focus on their presence in water. She also teaches PhD students about integrating sustainability considerations into medical and pharmaceutical research. In addition, she regularly holds interactive sessions for primary and secondary school students on the importance of sustainable use of medicine. Her work focuses on making science accessible and shaping attitudes.
I believe that raising environmental awareness in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceuticals is essential for achieving sustainable development.
KOVÁCS-ROZMER, Katalin
Associate Professor at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Pharmacy, Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and research fellow at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy. She is committed to embedding environmental protection measures into teaching and research.
I want to contribute to our common goals and I find it important to pay attention to environmentally conscious solutions in our daily work.
PAP, Nóra
Associate professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pécs. She considers as biologist the importance to insert the work and proposals of environmental protection into the teaching and research activities. E.g.: protection of natural habitat of (medicinal) plants, to develop the environmental awareness in the cultivation conditions of plants, documentation and maintenance of traditional using data of plants, and further study of selected plants based on these records.
The accessibility of scientific results plays an important role in her work in cooperation with colleagues, students, and PhD students.
Various viewpoints of environmental protection are of pivotal importance in field of biology/botany and pharmaceutical sciences, as required points for adequate sustainable development in our days.
SULC, Alexandra Anikó
Member of the Sustainability Working Group at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Pécs, lecturer at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy. Member of the Andrology Research Group at the National Laboratory of Human Reproduction at the University of Pécs.
From a sustainability perspective, it is particularly important to her that research results are easy to understand and can be used not only in medicine but also in health preservation. As a lecturer, it is substantial to her that students' attitudes are shaped in such a way as to strengthen their sense of responsibility towards sustainability. Last but not least, as a mother of three children, it is particularly essential to her that her activities contribute to creating a livable, sustainable future.
I believe that research and education fulfill their true role when they contribute to community development, shaping attitudes, and creating a healthier, more sustainable future.
